- Ship Manoeuvring & Collision Prevention (COLREGs) 

- Marine Communication (GMDSS, VHF) 

- Practical: Bridge Simulator Training 

 

*Semester 4:* 

- Ship Power Plants & Auxiliary Systems 

- Maritime Law & Regulations (SOLAS, MARPOL) 

- Port Operations & Logistics 

- Practical: Firefighting, Survival Craft Training 

 

*Year 3: Onboard Training & Certification* 

*Semester 5:* 

- *Mandatory Internship (6-12 months at sea)* 

  - Shipboard Training (Deck Duties, Watchkeeping) 

  - Logbook Maintenance (as per DG Shipping)

- Marine Insurance & P&I Clubs 

- Exams: DG Shipping Oral/Written Exams for *Officer of the Watch (OOW)* Certification

- *Survival Courses: * STCW Certifications (Firefighting, First Aid, Lifeboat Handling) 

- *Sea Time: * 12-18 months onboard (varies by country)
