SEMESTER 1: FOUNDATIONS OF BUSINESS & MANAGEMENT

  • Principles of Management: Introduction to management, functions (Planning, Organizing, Staffing, Directing, Controlling), theories (Fayol, Taylor), business environment.

  • Financial Accounting - I: Basic accounting concepts, journal, ledger, trial balance, final accounts (sole proprietorship), depreciation.

  • Business Mathematics: Algebra, matrices, calculus for business applications, financial mathematics (interest, annuities).

  • Business Economics - I (Microeconomics): Demand & supply analysis, consumer behavior, production & cost theories, market structures (perfect competition, monopoly).

  • Business Communication - I: Essentials of communication, business correspondence (emails, letters, memos), report writing basics.

  • Information Technology for Business: Fundamentals of computers, MS Office (Word, Excel, PPT), introduction to business information systems.

SEMESTER 2: CORE BUSINESS FUNCTIONS

  • Organizational Behavior: Individual behavior (perception, personality), motivation theories, group dynamics, leadership, organizational culture.

  • Financial Accounting - II: Partnership accounts, company accounts, cash flow statement, financial statement analysis (ratio analysis basics).

  • Business Statistics: Data collection & presentation, measures of central tendency & dispersion, correlation & regression, probability basics.

  • Business Economics - II (Macroeconomics): National income, money & banking, inflation, fiscal & monetary policy, business cycles.

  • Business Communication - II: Advanced report writing, presentation skills, negotiation & persuasion, cross-cultural communication.

  • Environmental Studies: (As per university requirements) Ecosystem, natural resources, pollution, environmental legislation.

SEMESTER 3: FUNCTIONAL MANAGEMENT - I

  • Human Resource Management: HRP, recruitment & selection, training & development, performance appraisal, compensation management.

  • Marketing Management: Marketing concepts, marketing mix (4 Ps), consumer behavior, segmentation, targeting & positioning, product life cycle.

  • Corporate Accounting: Issue of shares & debentures, amalgamation & absorption, holding company accounts.

  • Business Law: Indian Contract Act, 1872; Sale of Goods Act, 1930; Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881; Introduction to Company Act.

  • Cost Accounting: Elements of cost, material & labor costing, overhead allocation, unit costing, reconciliation of cost & financial accounts.

  • Elective - I / Skill Enhancement Course (e.g., Foreign Language, Digital Marketing Basics, Business Analytics Tools).

SEMESTER 4: FUNCTIONAL MANAGEMENT - II & QUANTITATIVE TECHNIQUES

  • Financial Management: Time value of money, capital budgeting, cost of capital, capital structure, working capital management.

  • Operations Management: Production planning & control, inventory management (EOQ, JIT), quality management (TQM, Six Sigma), supply chain basics.

  • Management Accounting: Budgetary control, marginal costing, standard costing, variance analysis, decision-making techniques.

  • Business Research Methods: Research design, data collection methods (questionnaire, interview), sampling, hypothesis testing, writing research report.

  • Income Tax: Basic concepts, heads of income, computation of total income & tax liability of individuals.

  • Elective - II (e.g., Retail Management, Services Marketing, Entrepreneurship).

SEMESTER 5: STRATEGIC & ADVANCED MANAGEMENT

  • Strategic Management: Strategy formulation, SWOT/TOWS analysis, Porter's competitive forces, corporate & business level strategies, implementation.

  • Banking & Insurance: Banking system, financial services, principles of insurance, types of life & general insurance, regulations.

  • International Business: Theories of international trade, WTO, FDI, globalization, international market entry strategies.

  • Elective - III (Specialization-based, e.g., Finance: Security Analysis & Portfolio Management / Marketing: Consumer Behavior & Brand Management / HR: Industrial Relations & Labor Laws).

  • Project Work - Part I (Synopsis & Initial Chapters) / Summer Internship Report Viva.

SEMESTER 6: SPECIALIZATION, ETHICS & INTEGRATION

  • Business Ethics & Corporate Governance: Ethical theories, corporate social responsibility, corporate governance models (SEBI guidelines), whistle-blowing.

  • E-Commerce & Digital Business: E-business models, digital marketing, e-payment systems, cyber laws (IT Act overview), security issues.

  • Elective - V (Specialization-based, e.g., Finance: International Finance / Marketing: Sales & Distribution Management / HR: Organizational Development & Change).

  • Elective - VI (Specialization-based or open, e.g., Finance: Derivatives / Marketing: Digital Marketing / HR: Strategic HRM).

  • Comprehensive Project Work / Dissertation: Based on primary or secondary research in the area of specialization, with submission and viva voce.
