Semester 2: Core Management & Introduction to HR

The second semester continues with core business subjects but begins to introduce specific HR functions and other critical management areas.

  • Human Resource Management: A foundational course that introduces the core functions of HR, including recruitment, selection, onboarding, performance management, and training .

  • Financial Management: Builds on accounting knowledge to cover corporate finance, including capital budgeting, risk management, and financial planning .

  • Operations Management: Covers business process management, productivity, and quality control, helping HR understand workforce efficiency and operational needs .

  • Legal Aspects of Business: Introduces the legal framework for business, including contract law, corporate regulations, and intellectual property, which are essential for understanding compliance .

Semester 3: Advanced HR Specialization

The focus shifts to in-depth HR topics and practical application. This is where students develop their specialized skills and knowledge.

  • Talent Acquisition & Management: Explores strategies for workforce planning, employer branding, sourcing, recruitment, selection, and succession planning .

  • Compensation & Benefits Management: Covers the design of salary structures, incentive programs, and employee benefits plans to attract and retain talent .

  • Industrial Relations & Labour Laws: In-depth study of labor legislation, union-management relationships, grievance handling, dispute resolution, and workplace compliance .

  • Training & Development / Learning & Development: Focuses on employee learning programs, skill development, and leadership training to enhance workforce capabilities .
